Volume 15 Pew Commission on Children in Foster Care - Response to Recommendations On May 18, after a year of intensive analysis, and conversations with professionals, parents and children, the Pew Commission on Children in Foster Care released sweeping recommendations to overhaul the nation's foster care system. A number of news articles, editorials, opinion pieces and press releases have been written in response to the Commission's report, "Fostering the Future: Safety, Permanence and Well-Being for Children in Foster Care." Posted on the Commission's website you can find the report, executive summary, and press coverage of the report and recommendations. Over the course of the next several months, Commissioners will be discussing their recommendations and the need for reform of the nation's foster care system, at a number of conferences. Information about these will be posted on the Commission's website.
